In October 2019, Cliff received the American Plains Artists’ Publishers Award for a full-page “Artist Focus” in the Western Art Collector. It was issued in January 2020. In November 2018, Cliff was recognized as a “Master Watercolorist” by Watercolor West.
In Dec 2017, Cliff received a $1,000 First Prize Award at the Cowboy Classic Western Art Show in Phoenix and a Gold Medal in Watercolor at the San Dimas Festival of Art for four consecutive years, 2016-2019. In August 2017, Cliff was honored with Clyde Heron Award in New Mexico for the best historical representation from the American Plains Artists. In 2016, he received the Best of Show PleinAir Award in San Dimas.
Cliff has been a member and past Vice President of the Fine Arts Institute with the San Bernardino County Museum. He was also elected President of the American and Indian Cowboy Artists and served on the Board for many years working with the San Dimas Festival of Art. Cliff is a Signature member of Watercolor West International and the American Plains Artists. He is also a new Member of the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association. Cliff enjoys being with other artists and sharing ideas.
Cliff has been recognized with an “Artist” designation from the California Art Club, where he was invited to show his art at the California Art Club Gallery in San Marino and juried in their Gold Medal Exhibition.
