HERE ARE TWO CALIFORNIA ART CLUB EXHIBITS:
A special opportunity for the art collector looking for an oil painting of the GRAND CANYON can be seen locally at a museum in the Orange County area. A magical snow scene was painted by Cliff in a size that was small enough to carry home in a car and large enough to study for years! It is Cliff's 18 x 24 inches oil painting of the Grand Canyon called "Our 15th National Park" . The painting was chosen for the 115th California Art Club's GOLD MEDAL EXHIBITION to be held at the Hilbert Museum of California Art at Chapman University in Orange, CA from June 13, 2026 through Sept. 11, 2026. This is no ordinary exhibition. A select number of artists were selected to show their best works. Cliff's painting is extraordinary because of its depth with subtle color changes in the background and full of bright colors in the foreground. We hope a special art collector will inquire about this amazing exhibition. To see this unique oil painting up close, go to page 90 in the June July issue of PLEIN AIR MAGAZINE, ...maybe fall in love with it, and we hope you want to take it home!
If you are a golfer and an art collector, there is another special painting of a Cypress trees that have stood along the 17 mile drive at Pebble Beach. Hundreds of visitors have been amazed as they discover the "Cypress trees boldly lifting their branches toward the sunset sky". Cliff had studied the Cypress over the years and has painted the scene in oil. It is called, "Cypress at Sunset", and the 5 x 7 inch oil is handsomely framed in a gold frame and will be on display at the CALIFORNIA ART CLUB GALLERY at 1120 Old Mill Road, in San Marino, CA from Oct. 8, 2026 through Jan. 24, 2027. This painting makes a PERFECT CHRISTMAS GIFT!
Cliff is a SIGNATURE MEMBER OF THE OIL PAINTERS OF AMERICA. Another unique small oil painting was selected by the OPA to be shown at the OPA National Salon Exhibit at the Cassens Fine Art Gallery in Hamilton, Montana and will be on exhibit from July 31 through Aug. 29th. It is called "Little Winner", a 7 inches by 5 inches "jewel" and is an original painting of a Zuni Indian girl who won an award at the Santa Fe Indian Market.
As you may also know, Cliff's is also an award winning watercolorist and was honored by Watercolor West as a Master Watercolorist for his abilities and techniques in watercolor painting. His original watercolor entitled, "Fall in Vermont" won an award in the Fall of 2025 and the Awards Juror was "none other than" the esteemed Clark Silva the independent Curator at the newly completed Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angles!
